Urban development promotion and ISEK in Homberg (Efze)

The development of the "Homberg City Centre" area will be supported and driven forward over the next few years with funds from the federal and state funding programme "Social Cohesion". On the following pages, you can find out about the objectives of the funding programme and the function of an "Integrated Urban Development Concept", or ISEK for short, in this context.

"Social Cohesion" support programme

The overarching aim of the "Social Cohesion" urban development programme is to improve local living, housing and working conditions through urban development and regeneration measures.

What is an ISEK?

An Integrated Urban Development Concept, or ISEK for short, forms the roadmap for the upgrading of urban areas. An ISEK identifies adaptation requirements, defines objectives and identifies measures with which these objectives can be achieved.

The development area in Homberg (Efze)

The "Homberg City Centre" area was included in the "Social Cohesion" urban development programme. This means that extensive funding will be available for construction and social measures over the next few years.
